Very expensive goose

I realised this morning that the phone number I had for the roast goose restaurant was 7 digits! Nowadays all phone number in KL is 8 digits!!! Arghhh.... lucky, I remembered we can find out the number through 103 directory.

Called the restaurant to ask if there is a need to pre-order, but the answer I got was "You have to come over and see. We don't allowed pre-order." I am thinking "What to see leh? Not that I can differentiate the gender or etc...hmmm."

You know how much that half of a goose cost? RM 65!!!!! Motto takai desune!!!! Piggy wanted 2 drumsticks. I asked how much per drumstick. The lady said at current no drumstick (cause they don't just cut down the drumstick and leave the rest of the goose there). She said it is about RM 32... for a drumstick? She further explained that it is counted by quarter! Wah lau eh.. -_-"" I should have been selling duck rice by the road side. I should have been rich if I do!

DUCK vs GOOSE

Piggy's cousin Rain is craving for roasted goose. But then, for the goose, Piggy needs to go to Pude (Lorong Yap Hin) where she don't know where. So, Pig_angel to the rescue. Hehee... I have been living in this place for 16 years since the day I born before I moved to where I am now. So, I roughly know where the shop is. Piggy's cousin really 'gang ho' ... she actually have the name, telephone number and also the address of the place! Hahaahaa....

Piggy was afraid I will buy a duck instead of a goose because I keep saying 'fried duck' instead of goose. So, she threaten to blog this up if I really bought DUCK instead. Hahaha...

"Do you think it is easy to be housewife?"

Well, I remember there is once my Biology teacher asked "Do you think it is easy to be housewife?" At the time, we are too young to say anything. I never wanted to be house wife cause I know I can never be like mum staying at home all day. I never understand what it is to be done all day at home. But then, today I got to know all about it.

This weekend has been rather busy. Yesterday, I went to Matta fair. Wanted to get trip package to Bali and maybe Hong Kong. Because the trip to Hong Kong will only be in October, we did not manage to get a package. So, September when there is another fair, we will be there again. Although we went early, and came home early but then it was tiring no doubt. So, when we reached home, we replenish our sleep. Did nothing much that night though.

Sunday, I woke up at about 10.00am. Then, I swept and mopped the floor (like I usually do during the weekend). Then I cleaned the water tub, washed and brushed the toilet. Today, however, I changed a bit of my routine. Intended to iron the clothes after lunch but then I got sleepy. Napped until 3.00 and I forced myself to get up. Then, I started to iron my clothes. I finished at 5.15.. so you can imagine how much clothes I have to iron. One whole basket! After that, I did filing for my bills and also sorting out my expenses that I need to pay in the coming month and also the receipts for the books I have purchased so that I can declared in my income tax return. Then, I had my dinner and did my laundry. Also study a bit for my Japanese exam which is NEXT WEEK!

I found out that next month... I need at least 4K to settle all my bills and rent. o_O
I found out for 2006, I only spent RM 826.67 for books when in 2005 I spend > RM 1000.
And I found out that, "No, it isn't easy to be a housewife", and I only played a paltry role of cleaning the house today.

And now I wish and pray .. AIB to be out sooner.

Sinful Day

Much to our effort of keeping tab of our diet, going to gym and etc .. just to make sure we do go anywhere fatter than we are now.. or if can, go slimmer. Yet, we did something sinful today. Piggy, me and Tapir went to Queen's Park to buy things. Actually we are sort of accompanying Piggy to grab her stuff Europe Trip and since she still have RM 250 worth of voucher to spend so we decided to go there to get it.

Well, before all the shopping, we have our dinner at Peel Road hawker stall. We ate 'Yue Kong Hor' (now that is Piggy's favourite after being introduce by Jordan) and 'Fook Kin Chow'. Well, we regretted... the portion were supposed for 2, but I think it can be enough for 6? Very big portion. Not just that... we also ordered 'siu kei yik' .... 1 pair each and 5 sticks of satay. Imagine, we are stuffed and so full that we had to 'tapao' back the 'Fook Kin Chow'.

Me: Who is bringing that back?

Piggy: You.. cos you live alone... need the food.

Me: But I seldom eat at home... I don't want it (glancing meaningfully to Tapir)

Tapir: I don't want it too.. I am going to my mum's place.. and she cooks!

Me: Piggy, don't make me leave it in your car.

Hehehe.... piggy is taking it back! Well, that is not the end. Piggy finally bought 1 pair of the thermo wool for her trip. Still there is balance of the voucher back. Went to Seng Heng to search for VCD/DVD cause Tapir needs one.. but all is overly priced! So, we came back out and search around if there is any other shops that we can utilise the vouchers.... none! So Piggy went back to the shop just now to get a shawl.....

I know you saw us eating... well it is ice-cream and it is Baskin Robbins!!! hahahaa.... we are like out of prison... hehehe. Piggy treat with her voucher.. extra me and Tapir chipped. Well, don't envy. We ordered.... ten ten ten ten....

What do you call a 'male dog'?

I am having trouble sleeping soundly this week. It is all because of this stray bitch (female dog) in the car park at the place I am living now. At first there was only this bitch with this other dog. Later, it turns into a pack of dogs with all of them being males hovering over this female. As in the animal rules of life, to mate with the female, the male have to fight with each other. The champion gets the prize. And this create barks in the middle of the night when everybody is sound asleep. Municipal council have once tried to catch but to no avail and now they are coming back!

Waking up this morning, I start to think.. it all started with that bitch, otherwise all those 'male dogs' will not be here. Oh my gosh...! What do you call a 'male dog'? I start to think....and I can't get to it. I start to ask around.

Piggy: Female dog is bitch....
Me: I know .. what about 'male dog' ?
Tapir: I thought it is called dog.. (she is sms-ing super chu chai for answer)

Super chu chai: It is inu...... (Inu is dog in Japanese.. what the ...?)

Jordan: Called butch.
What the heck? It is not a trick question I am serious.
Jordan: A stud I think.... (stud is not for horse meh?)

Finally, to kill the question in my mind.... googled. It is DOG!

BBQ & Steamboat at Rachel and gang's house

Rachel and house mates have a house warming today in SS2. As the supportive lots, me and a few of us intend to do steamboat. Have been out all day! Boy am I tired. Mei Yuen take care of marinating the 'kei yik' for BBQ. Me and Wai Ling went to buy stuff for steamboat mainly and also for BBQ.

After we reached, we started preparing the vege and also the stuff for steamboats... working fast with 4 pairs of hands and noisy too. Also prepared the soup for steam boat and the potatoes and corn for BBQ.

See what we have done:

1) White is sotong ball, pink is crab ball and sausages. We have more than this but I did not photo it

2) Vege, crab stick and abalone mushrooms. The 2 cups are Coke for me and Lydia - thirsty ma after doing all the work

3) Our soup.. boiled to perfection!

Other food:

4) Sweet corn for BBQ.....
5) Mee hoon and Fried rice .. don't know who bought one but TOTEMO OISHII DESUNE!!!

What are those? No no... not eggs... and we are not trying to make bombs either.

When through a lot of trouble to make that. It all starts with a can of planta....she has to 'kepit' the can of planta with her thigh in order to successfully open the can..

And finally ... after we manage to open.. then we..

Mula-mula, sediakan ubi kentang yang sudah dipotong separuh, sesudu planta dan sedikit garam.

Make some cuts on the potato surface (you may think of it as somebody you hate!)

Then, but on the planta on the surface of the potato and sprinkle some salt. Later, wrap it with alunimnium foil and you get to what you see just now

The elongated ones are actually sweet potatoes (yes.. trying to 'wui fan su' but this is my first time 'wui ho lan su')

Next... you dump it into the charcoal... like this

And this is what happen when you leave it too long .. it got burned!!

Besides above, what else we do....

Onaka ga totemo ippai desune!!! Very full under unable to eat some more... burrppp.. excuse me!

Bad Day!

I was happily getting myself pretty this morning. Meeting up with good friends. I went all the way to Kuchai Lama to pick up a friend. Got the direction right but then out of panic and was searching for her number on the phone, I nearly rammed into the road side construction blocks. Luckily I realized and swinged back on time. Gosh, car from behind must be cursing me for driving like maniacs. Never mind, after that I cut from the outer most right lane to the outer most left lane (cut through 3 lanes) cause I realised I am supposed to turn left at the traffic light....lucky I did not have people honk or throw things at me.

Never mind, when I reached, I need to park the car for awhile to wait for her. My, my the parking lot is so narrow and small. I have to twist and turn my steering wheels numerous times to get into the lot and once I got in, I noticed the spaces between me and the next car either side is so small. If you are about 180 pounds in weight with waistline of a diameter of 35 inches, you definitely have to come in sideways and you have slide into the car cause you can't open the door too wide! And the worst is that cars will double park 2 lanes in the middle!

I think I am a polite driver, but not today. Jammed on the way to Time Square and I overtake and cut lanes like 'orang gila'. Usually I don't do that. But today... did double parking and obstructed traffic as well. This is so no me. And I feel like sticking up my middle finger when the passed by car drivers glaring at me for blocking traffic.... hello other people double park too. At least I am waiting in the car than leaving it alone parked there.

Finally, we reached Times Square. First thing is to withdraw money. I haven't withdraw money from this account yet, this is first time. I don't withdraw from here because this is for saving. Sad to say, today is really not my luck. My card got retained!!! Arghh... really feels like smashing the machine and scream "give me back my card you idiot!". Wondering if I do so will the security guard come detained me for vandalising. For a moment I am blank.. what am I supposed to do? Some more I am using another bank's ATM service believing in the power of MEPS. Like a mad lady I start calling any numbers on the ATM machine... none work! Double damn! Then, I suddenly remember there is one branch of the bank opposite Sungai Wang. Desperate, I walked over to check if there is any number for enquiry available there. Thank God! There was and I managed to call through and have the card blocked. I have to get to the bank and get my card reapply... sigh!

Cracked my head
