Masak masak

Today's menu..... fry french beans, luncheon meat and fry eggs with cube sausages. Yes, I am cooking dinner today...haha. I tried steam eggs this afternoon for lunch. I think too much water and too little eggs.. a bit failure but still can eat.

Thinking with some cooking can save a bit on expenses. Hopefully so. This month expenses are bursting, but then all for the home. I would say, expenses still not very stable since move in. Not very stable as in got unexpected expenses but still can cope. So, have to stabilising it soon.

Now, I stocked up my kitchen with frozen food, vege and can food. Not excessive but I have it ready. If anytime I feel like cooking, there are ingredient to cook. Don't expect very very fancy meal, enough to cure from hunger ... hehehe....

Paint Ball or Pain Ball?

Got all bruised and bumps mostly on my left side, except for one caught me slightly higher near the waist on the right side. I caught one on my left arm, nine on my left thigh, one on the left calf and the last one on the right waist.

If you are wondering what I am doing until I am bruised and bumped - I WENT TO PAINT BALL. It is somewhere in Sungai Buloh, but yesterday we felt like we have been travelling much futher. The place we went is called Tanamera. A very large area with a lot of bushes, trees, dirts and basic simulation for the activity. The also have horse ranch with a number of horses.

We went there as a team together with some from the Admin daredevils. Well, we need to release stress aren't we? There, we met up with some of the friends who are friends of the Admin daredevil and we have a total of 22. Lucky or unlucky there are another 2 more smaller groups there. So, the marshall mixed us in into the activities.

It was fun. Our paint pellets lasted us for 4 games. We have 1st game which is more of battles of the 2 teams (our team went against to the other 2 teams). Next we have a game of all of us trying to ambush a ford held up by 12 persons. 3rd game was about us ambush a wooden house that contained 10 persons in it with ammos, and they have 2 snipers somewhere near the bush to stop us. Our aim in the 3rd games was to get one of our people to touch the house. Challenging as we have to use the trees and bushes as hide out. Bullets whizzed passed from front and back and also easy for them to whizzed and left a mark on your body. Worst was that the snipers' marker (the gun, and the snipers are the marshalls who are so damn pro, they have their own marker, they bottles of refills loaded, their own masks and clothing to blend in) shoot like a M-16... in a string of bullets!!!!

The last game was where I caught most of my bruises. This is a crazy game and damn crazy. Team are splited into 2 teams, shooting from opposite direction. This is a game to just finish our ammos. And this is where all the bottled up vengeance at work and your dislikes on a person can be vented out...hahaha, kidding. There is no place to hide or shelther. You just need to endure and take the bullet... and here was where I got all the bruised from my pelvic to my upper part of thigh. It is a blind massacre!!!

Lucky for me, the bruises subsided a bit today but it is still painful, but not as ugly. Some got it bad, bruised with red, purple and green all blended in. That is what happen when you have someone shot you at very close range. But with the crazy bullets flying around, hard to say who shot you and where it came from. I got one on my head!

It was very fun, although we have to endure all the pain. No pain, No gain! There are 2 packages for you to choose from:
a) Package A: RM 85 includes 500 paintballs, the marker and the gas
b) Package B: RM 125 includes 1000 paintballs, the marker and the gas.
*Additional RM 10 for the vest*

My advice: please take the vest. It can sort of buffer the pain a bit if the bullets hit you on your body, well, at least during the blind massacre it helps. But for your extremities, just too bad la.

We reached Tanamera at 10 plus morning and we departed home at 3.30 pm with all the bruises and bumps as remembrance.

P/S: the marshalls are young teenage ang mos... well,of course they are cute and good looking but their markers are just so pro!

At New Home... finally

After a long wait for about 2 years, house is finally ready. All the fancy ideas on how to renovate the house were put into action. Don't misunderstand. It is like I am remodelling the whole house. Just to make it a bit more comfortable to live in. After all, I am a simple creature... a creature that only wanted things to be easy to clean, simple and not too overcrowding... even so, I spent bomb on the things... well, things are just not cheap these days.

Moving was a terrible ordeal. You have no idea. After living in the old place for about 10 years and with the furnitures and stuffs accumulated for almost 30 years (things from grandma to my mother and to me), I took one week working day and night to just trying to sort things out and PACK! And worst of all I think I don't have enough boxes...! At this point of time, my brain have to turn a wheel faster... and I recycle the boxes. I moved the loaded ones to the new place, unpacked and move back the empty boxes to reload.... now you understand why I can finish my moving in 1 lorry leh....

It is not a bad idea though... because, I spend lesser time to unpack the things one by one after official moving in.... so not too bad, but the process is really really gruesome... and it cost me 500 bucks to move things to new house with lorry and also to throw away all the old furnitures... but happy all of it was done.

So now, have been in the new place for 3 months already. Still a number of resident not moving in. My neighbours, opposite are 2 chinese families, and the one next to me is Malay I guess, but i have not seen them moving in officially yet.

Now going to work is slightly nearer compared to old times, going to Jusco also nearer .. hehehe. That is a good start.

New challenge

Yes, I know it has been a very long while since I last blog. Well, a number of things happened since Aug 2008. Change of job scope, 2 of the close 'clan's mate' moved forward to another country for their career. God bless all of them.

While I have been coping with my work in office, new tasks and new responsibilities, challenges also there are things happening around.

I finally got my house key in December 2008. More responsibility as a house owner. Entirely new challenge and involving a lot of money. I did not load up any photo but I intend to do so when after the house is renovated. Bout to see my quotation next week. If you ask me why so long, well, I have to wait for the defects to be rectified first. Thank God not many.

Today I finally found my car park.... I nearly got my car clamped because I parked at the wrong lot!!! Gosh.... so embarassing. Lucky for me, I was in time to remove my car and with the help of the management officer, I managed to find my car park. Good for me because the entrance to the lift is just opposite my car park.... yippee.

Well, the biggest challenge for me now is money...only money.... sigh. It will pass soon, I hope.

Singapore, here I don't I want to go

Tomorrow onwards, I will be down to Singapore for a 2 weeks immersion programme. If you have been wondering what it is all about? It is about attending to some fussing advisers on their applications.

Well, it is supposed to be a very good exposure programme but we know best how it is going to be. Just hope that I will be home in 1 piece. It will also be a good oppurtunity for us to meet some of our friends down there.

Let's hope I get to have some fun while I am there.

Genuine pig

Considering myself as an English literate, I cannot except the fact that I cannot recalled how to spell 'guinea pig'. I spent about half an hour that day trying to recall how to spell and at last, I gave up and as The Bully.

Me: How to you spell 'genie pig'?

The Bully : Genuine pig...

-_-"" I thought I am worse, he is just proved that there is somebody worst. Guinea pig is a genuine pig? Man, he just gave guinea pig a new definition. Poor guinea pig...just which part of you looks like pig???

Flower Market in T-Centralen

Wedding in Malaysia seldom involve a lot of preparation by the bride and grooms. At most, they will be busy with the wedding dress, night gown, the suit for the groom. Rest of the things usually there will be people to help you take care or included in the service. Well, of course those wealthy enough have wedding planners and stuff.

For cousin, having to stay in Sweden and getting married there, a lot of things to prepare and do. Cost of living is superbly high. Thus, from wedding card down to the decoration in the restaurant and church (including table runners) are done by her and her husband.

One of the challenge is of course getting the flowers. That day was the second day after we reached Sweden, which is 1 day to go before the wedding. Flowers has been ordered but we have to go and collect it. So, the whole batallion of us, take the subway and went to this flower market which is at the town centre.

The flowers were amazing. For once in my life I saw so much nice flowers in the whole market. Different from Cameron Highlands, some of these flowers I have not seen in Malaysia.

From top left: Black lilies, the flower stall, strange ball-like flower, tulip, carnation I think, roses

By the time we finished getting all the flowers and walk around the market, we were hungry and settled ourselves in the restaurant for lunch. We took the set lunch which include appetizer - choice of different kind of bread, with salad, main course and a cup of coffee.

Top left: Appetizer, some selection of food. I ate the with chips

Well, we continued to walk around town and we find some interesting things around the town. We were snapping photos all the way.

Top Left: rows of bicycles for rental. You just need to insert coin and then you can go. Municipal hall near the market place.

Below left: Wording on the road in Queen's street. Hungry? Just one of your hotdogs.

And look who has fallen asleep?

By the time we decided to go home, it was about 3 pm. We still have a lot to do at home. Those flowers were made into a corsage for the family members. Then, we also have to make sure, everything required was packed and nothing left behind.
