Trip to Ipoh

Should have posted this before the 'Bullish Monday'. Anyway, last Saturday was a coursemate's wedding all the way in Ipoh. Only 6 of us went. And out of the 6, 4 travelled from KL to Ipoh. Arrangement was one hell of a business, all of us lives in different area and to find a common area to wait is difficult.

Anyway, we met up with the rest at the friend's place in Serdang. A new area I presumed and it is an apartment. Nice area but the cars parked outside is terrible. The road was for 2 ways traffic but from the way it was parked, only 1 road available for both traffic. Literally speaking, the cars actually parked in the middle of the road as if it is a valid parking. O_O and the road sign said "No Parking, cars will be clamped. "

Well, friend was driving us in the company's 4x4 truck. My legs are short, even in heels. So, literally speaking, I am climbing up the truck with utmost difficulty and when I am in, I am not too comfortable. The seat is high up and it is like I am squatting rather than sitting. If I am as tall as Jordan then I will be like having too much of legs.... yard long which people from outside might be able to see my knees. And it is bumpy ... have been knocking my head whole journey while trying to nap.

Reached Ipoh at 5.00pm. Some of the friends wanted to buy pomeloes, I bought some biscuits. Then, we called another friend, KS who was in Ipoh to come bring us around. Friends wanted to try the Ipoh White Coffee. While waiting for KS, another coursemates, MK from Sarawak called. Apparrently, he has a home-based office in Sandakan. From the way he talked, it is a big house with no one but him and the TV. He was very 'osaberi' .... imagine he talked to 4 different people with different topics. From Football, to politics, to medical, to homicide and then back to politic and etc. The phone call lasted about 1 hour! We felt that he is rather lonely and we suspected that nobody talked to him.. until the phone call... hahahahaa.

Finally, KS is here and then we were driving through Ipoh town looking for white coffee (the phone call is still on going). Unlucky, the shop closed for the day, so we settled into on of the coffee shop and ate something. Phone call was still on going and now KS took over to entertain MK. We sat and rested until 7.00pm and decided to move on to the restaurant.

Bride and bridegroom looked very well groomed. Like what people said, girl will look prettiest on the wedding day. Hahahaa.... we speculated that dinner will be late but then not exactly. At 7.45 pm approximately, 1st dish was served but the bride and groom still outside waiting for guests to arrive. They moved in in the middle fo the 1st course. By the time 3rd course of dinner is served, they were already toasting. Food was nice, big portion and taste delicious. The banquet ends shortly before 10pm. We started our journey home by then.

By the time we reached KL, it was about 12.45pm. Tired.

While on the trip, I have also learned that:
HCT : becomes daddy already. Heard wife recently gave birth to a son. Good for him!
LSH: going to complete master soon. Yeah, still in UPM.
LMK: coming down to KL today. Heard he is going to UK/Eurpore to see AC Milan.... boy he is rich.
LYS: Son already 3.5 years old but I haven't seen the kid.

Maybe one of these days we ought to catch up a little.
