All in a day's rest
Today morning I woke up at 8.45 am. But, I am trying to enjoy the late morning waking up and I only fully woke up at 9.30 am. The first thing I realized was that the sun is not shining bright like 12 pm this morning. Hahaha...Cambodia's sun is so bright at 6.30 am that we always thought we overslept in the morning, but actually we woke up earlier than we intended to. Sigh...
After breakfast, I set to my chores. Not being at home for almost a week, a lot of things to do. First, I called the workshop. They said I can collect my car at 5 pm in the evening. Yes! My baby is coming home. Second, I called the streamyx to check on my internet bill, I think they over charged me but nobody picked up my call... celaka!
Then, I cleaned the altar, mopped and swept the floor. While I am at the chores, Wai Ling called asking if I am free later. We went out for lunch and watched 'Resident Evil- Extinction'. I have to exercise extreme control NOT to scream. Pai seh! Movie is good though, but judging by the ending...sigh, there will be another sequel.
Next, we went to register ourselves for the election. This was delayed over times and finally we made to do it today. I also renewed my license ....expiring on 18 October. Well, it was an unpleasant experience for us on the registration. The male clerk was corky and snappy. He was a bit unpleasant to know there are 3 of us who wanted to register for SPR. Rather snappy to us when asking us on phone number and our religion, giving us the impression we were wasting his time. I really wanted to tell him that "we are performing our duty as a citizen"... celaka fella. Was glad when he finished it in 10 minutes and we were out of the post office.
By 5 pm, I am at the workshop to collect my car. Boy, my car looks like brand new. Really looks so nice. Cannot believe it is mine for a while. Workshop belongs to best friend's family and they further discounted on the charges. But they also informed that car's spark plug got a bit of a problem. At first I thought maybe can hold up for a while before sending car to workshop again, but, when I drove it home, it wasn't so good. So, I send it to the usual garage. On the way there, I prayed that the mechanic (the one that have been calling me) is not there. Thank God, he is not there.... phew!
The garage boss attended to car. Only spark plug got problem. Cis, I saved on the paint job but spend on the repairing... but still it worthed. Spotted that the garage also do on air cond. Since my air cond pump is gone case and it is only matter of time before I have to change it, I asked the boss how much he is charging. He said RM 320. Sounded reasonable. The last time I asked the workshop outside my housing area, the mechanic wanted 500 - 600 bucks. When I counsulted expert in PJ, he said 200 to 300.... celaka betul! Lucky, I did not listened to him then. I am still considering if I want to send to this garage. Previous repairing works were good. But air cond is tricky, yet, it is nearby and I can always get back there. Hmmm....
